François d'Elbée

Born in Paris, Francois d'Elbee has lived and worked in Africa since 1968. First involved in Safaris activities in different parts of the continent, he dedicated himself to photography 20 years ago.

Concerned about the future of the wild species in their natural environment, his work reflects their beauty but also their fragility through a poetic and personal vision.

Francois d'Elbee is the author of several photographic books on Zambian Wildlife : The Bush and Eye, Busanga, Wild Life ( text by Vic Guhrs ), Carnets de Brousse and Au coeur de l'Afrique ( published by Editions de la Martiniere. Paris ).
